About him

Barry Ross

Barry Ross

Born: September 17th, 1949

Passed on: November 23rd, 2018

Barry, Bahr, “Grandpa Bahr” Ross escaped his mortal realm on Saturday November 24, 2018 at the age of 69. His larger than life personality and his trademarked uniqueness will never be forgotten. He once said, “the only thing between today and accomplishing your dream, is a plan. A plan to win.” Barry won, numerous times, too many times to count. He leaves behind 2 children, 3 grandchildren, 2 ex wives, 1 current live in, many friends and the commercial kitchen industry where he was the unofficial spokesperson until he chose to enter the world of retirement and exciting adventures. Barry captivated many with his elaborate, and often animated, philosophies and theories about life. He would often say, “Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.” Although Barry lived a less than average life span, he did not by any means live a less than average life. He travelled where he wanted to travel and he learned what he wanted to learn. This is clearly evident in his journals and collection of eclectic treasures. He refused to let cancer take him down for over 40 years and he attributed that to his attitude and love of life. In the words of a wise man, dying is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. Therefore anything what doesn’t kill you, makes you better. Worry and fear will take you to an early grave. BE HAPPY - BE FEARLESS - SEIZE THE MOMENT! Smile a 100 times a day, laugh 10 times a day, and tell someone you love them each day. Live the shit out of life!
